Baseball Mogul 2007 begins in any year you choose, from 1900 to 2006 with the full roster of your favorite team -- or an entirely fictional team of your own creation. As General Manager (GM), your job is to build the best lineup of players to take your team to the World Series.
Baseball Mogul 2007 is a realistic simulation game that's going to have a very small audience. It's good at what it does, but not all players will find a lot of fun or success in a game of this type. You've got an incredible amount of information and control at your disposal to help you make decisions. You get to manage finances and your players in your efforts to win games and the World Series. The play-by-play mode adds action and even more control that lets you watch games or take them over.
Baseball Mogul 2007 full version features include:
- Historical Rookies! Start in any historical season. Baseball mogul will then include minor and major league players for all teams.
- Players personalities and Morale! Manage individual personalities of your team to build the right team chemistry.
- Expanded Contract Negotiations! Arbitration, free agency. Use player options and no-trade clauses to sweeten deals and land the best players.
- Minor League System! Manage up to 100 players in your farm system. From draft day until retirement. Track players using new reports and stats.

I have been playing mogul since '04, and I love it. I am a die hard baseball fan, and love nothing more than the 162 game baseball season (suffering cubs fan). I like the way you can start your dynasty any year from 1901 to present day, and if you are to start in a past year, you have the option of using the real players that played that year. This is neat because as the year goes on, the other players that really played will enter the draft when they really did, and you will then have the option of picking up your favorite historical player for your team. I like to start back in 1901 with a certain team and see how I can run them over the years.
Another thing, this is a stataholic's dream. There are so many stats thrown at you that you would think this game would take up more memory than it does. And as the years go on, everything updates to the "present day"
Overall, if you are just a casual fan, you might want to stay away from this game, but for those of you who want to see how the game works as an owner/GM, this game will work for you.

This game is incredibly addicting, so be warned! It blends a perfect strategy formula, with incredibly fast simming, and also manages to not overload you with too big of a minor league system. The six round amature draft is a perfect length every year, and there's nothing like seeing your first round pick finally crack the majors. On a small market team your young guns will be forced into the majors at 21 or 22 while the big market teams can afford to groom them and introduce them at 25 or 26. Great way to waste a night (or week. or month).

Although Baseball Mogul 2007 has simplistic graphics and a lot of numbers, it's the kind of game that can show you why people have fallen in love with fantasy sports in recent years. It can be a valuable tool for anyone in a league, and more importantly, for anyone who loves the game of baseball.
