Midnight Mysteries: Devil on the Mississippi Collector's Edition Game Customer Reviews

Love the game and will be buying it. The intro is great and that alone was nearly enough to make me buy. I knew it was my sort of game. The graphics are great, very clear. The Hidden Object scenes are not too hard. You find Ravens for hints. You also find 70 four leaf clovers. There are 7 chapters plus the bonus. So far it is not too difficult and the hints are quite specific about what to do next if you are stuck. Definitely worth a try for sure. Off to buy....

A nice super length game. More of an adventure puzzle game than a HOG as most of the gameplay was problem solving instead of HO scenes. For entertainment to price value, this was worth it as it kept me busy for about an entire day with the bonus chapter and the unlimited HO mode that was available after the story mode was complete.

The HO scenes are nicely drawn and the items are large enough to be found. One achievement award is to complete all the HO scenes without using the hint, and the side tasks that go on throughout the game is to collect the ravens for hints and clovers to unlock the unlimited HO mode. Although some HO scenes were reused, they didn't cut corners by cramming in old puzzles. Most of the mini-games were designed around the plot and fitted in well with the game flow.

Aside from the usual sparkles, dialog between the player and the characters that needed to be clicked through were the only annoyances in the game. That being said, I wanted to give it 3.5 stars because there was an awful lot of dialog. The game ran smooth without any strange glitches for me.

Overall, this is a good adventure/HO game of great length. Straight HOG players will probably find the HO parts to be too easy but a good game for the casual gamer that may want to spread it out over a few days and still make progress.

I played the entire hour and enjoyed it tremendously. I did actually get "set back" in my chair a few times, too. lol I usually don't over-react at the "things" that jump out at you but this one got me. Love It!!!!!

This is a great game and I am going to buy it for sure. I have only skipped one mini-game but I stuck with the next one till I solved it. Some different ones that I like. You really have to watch for the 4 leaf clovers so this will add some time to the game for me since I want those clovers and the "gift" you get for collecting them all.

I didn't check for length but I just got on the boat and I am trying to do what that ghost is making me do so I can continue on. So, for me, this seems like it will be a good length and work the price.

Happy Gaming everyone, Joy.
