Frayed Knights: The Skull of Smakh-Daon Game Description
In a world of jaded heroes and veteran adventurers, you play a team of misfits: Arianna, a dainty warrior with an attitude problem; Dirk, an adrenaline-junky rogue who doesn't seem to understand the word 'subtle;' Benjamin, a nature-priest and an ill-suited newcomer to the adventuring lifestyle, and Chloe, a ditsy sorceress with a love of cute, fuzzy animals and setting her enemies on fire.
Adventuring is always a dangerous profession, but recently things have gotten bad. Very bad. Teams of expert fortune-hunters are getting "morted," suffering great losses against enemies that are better prepared than ever. In the taverns and Adventurer's Guildhalls, whispered rumors speak of the return of an evil that once all but destroyed civilization. But as many great and famous adventurers fall to this growing threat, perhaps this bunch of losers - called "The Frayed Knights" (but never to their faces) - might just be the heroes the world really needs: The wrong people at the wrong time.
Frayed Knights: The Skull of Smakh-Daon full version features include:
- 30+ hours of gameplay.
- Challenging, turn-based combat in a game that plays at your pace.
- Over a hundred base spells, most with several upgraded variants.

- Nearly 200 different items to be used and abused by your characters.
Frayed Knights: The Skull of Smakh-Daon Game Customer Reviews
Cool RPS! Frayed Knights is old school RPG revival. And anyone who loves complex dungeon crawlers in style of Wizardry , will enjoy this one. Surprisingly excellent humor is a bonus :D And there is a lot gameplay in demo itself to burn couple of roleplay hours ;)

This game is tons of fun. Very well written and funny dialogue, and challenging old-school turn-based combat.

This is a very good game with a few innovations (drama star, detailed lock picking, comic-style character talking, etc) that actually *do* add to the experience and aren't just there for the sake of being there. The game has some dated graphics, but i think it looks on par with classics such as Might and Magic 6 which were made by teams much larger than Rampant Games (...that is mostly Jay Barnson with external contributors).
...I think that if you found Wizardry, Might and Magic or any other similar game interesting, you should check out Frayed Knights's demo. It shows what the game is all about and by itself will take one or two hours to finish.
